Those who are seeking Private Applicators License: A Initial certification to become a certified Private pesticide applicator requires the completion of an interactive, online Private Applicator training program. Administered by the University of Georgia Extension. The online training and testing requires a total time commitment of approximately 4-5 hours and a $25 fee. Applicants MUST be able to read and understand a label.

Oct 10 Food Preservation Workshop: Potatoes Join the Thomas County Family & Consumer Sciences Agent, Olivia Tumlin, on Saturday, October 10th for information about how to preserve potatoes in a Pressure Canner. We will also be discussing safely canning soups and other mixtures! The class will begin at 10AM and finish around 2pm (we will have snacks available, but please pack a lunch if desired).
