Drink Water, Georgia!  And Food Talk text message sign up.  This is Cook County second year active in this out reach across the SWD and Georgia.  Cook Co. Extension placed 6th in the State of Georgia, in 2023 with 105 signing up in pledging to drink more water.

May 14 2026 Dougherty County Master Gardener Training Albany, GA - (53.0 miles) Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteer program is designed to train volunteers to assist UGA Cooperative Extension Agents in providing unbiased, researched-based horticulture education to the public. The prospective master gardener agrees to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours within a year following the completion of training in extension approved projects. This program covers 50 hours of training in topics ranging from ornamental and landscape plants, turf management, vegetable gardening, organic gardening to basic entomology, weeds, diseases and insect pests of ornamentals and vegetables and their integrated pest management. May 15 Food Preservation Workshop: Pickles Thomasville, GA - (44.0 miles) Join the Thomas County Family & Consumer Sciences Agent, Olivia Tumlin, on Friday, May 15th OR Saturday, May 16th for information about how to preserve Pickles in a water bath canner.
