SAFE Program

Grady County 4-H offers three shooting sports programs

  • Modified Trap Program
  • Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays Program
  • Archery Program

4-H Shooting Sports

Any 4-H'er in the 6th-12th grade can participate in Modified and Skeet, Trap & Sporting Clays Programs.

Any 4-H'er in the 4th-12th grade can participate in the Archery Program.

Upcoming Dates

2023 Archery Shooting season will officially start in October 2022.

2023 Modified and Skeet, Trap & Sporting Clays will officially start in February 2023.


Requirements

If you would like to participate in any of the shooting sports, you must complete two other 4-H activities.

Any 4-H'er wishing to participate in the Shotgun Program must have completed the Georgia Hunters Safety Program. For more information on Hunter Education Classes and the Shooting Sports Program Membership Requirements, visit the Georgia State Shooting Sports website.

Coaching

If you are interested in becoming a Certified Coach for Archery and/or Shotgun you will have three opportunities to get certified. Training will be offered at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Grady County 4-H will pay for your registration fees. If you would like to register for any of these trainings, please call the 4-H Office so we can get you registered.
