4-H Youth Development

What is 4-H?

The Georgia 4-H Slogan is Learn by Doing.  We provide hands-on projects to encourage students to develop their leadership skills, explore new areas of interest in agriculture and STEM, practice healthy living habits, and become good citizens by helping others.

Who’s eligible to join 4-H?

Dade County 4-H has a program for youth in kindergarten through 12th grade.

How much does it cost to join 4-H?

There are no dues to participate in 4-H.  However, special project clubs (shooting sports, livestock judging, etc.) and activities may have a charge included.  There are no uniforms for 4-H’ers.  4-H’ers may pick and choose what activities they participate in.

How to get involved?

Dade 4-H offers monthly meetings for all ages, including parents.  Attend the next Dade County 4-H Homeschooler’s meeting or Craft Night to get involved!  Call the office for information on the next 4-H Homeschooler’s meeting, Craft Night, or special project club @ 706-657-4116.
