  • Jan 5 2022 Annual Blueberry Update (Virtual Event) The 2022 Annual Blueberry Update will be held as a virtual event on January 5, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pre-registration is REQUIRED and deadline to register is January 4, 2022 by 4:00 p.m. A meeting link will be emailed to registered participants the morning of the event. On the agenda is an FSA update, disease update, weed update, and insect update. Planned speakers include: Joe Slusher (FSA representative), Dr. Jonathan Oliver, Dr. Mark Czarnota, and Dr. Ash Sial. Commercial and private pesticide credits have been applied for.

  • Jan 6 2022 Camden County Virtual Lunch & Learn - January 6: Seed Saving Camden County Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent, Jessica Warren, will continue offering virtual lunch and learn courses in 2022. Classes will be held once a month on the second Thursday of each month (with the exception of January which will be the first Thursday due to a scheduling conflict). Classes will continue to be held 12-1pm. Classes are free and open to the public. To register please email uge3039@uga.edu and you will be sent the registration link, or follow the registration link directly. Once you have selected the sessions you would like to attend, you will receive a confirmation email. The zoom link will be emailed on the day before each class and a reminder will be sent the morning of each class. See the attached flyer for the teneative class schedule.

  • Feb 3 Union County Vegetable Production Meeting Annual vegetable production meeting. This event is geared towards individuals commercially involved in agriculture. Topics will include variety selection, insect control, and disease control.
