Programs & Calendar
In addition to opportunities for summer camps, in-school programs, and 4-H Project Achievement, Whitfield County 4-H Club offers several "After School Programs."
Monthly Club Meetings are held during which members review accomplishments from previous events and plan future endevours. 4-H'ers can signup for a variety of activities that can be grouped into but not limited to the following categories:
- Competitive Teams (require attendence at scheduled practices and contests)
- Service Projects (complete community service hours)
- State Events (held outside the county)
4‑H programs are grounded in the belief that kids learn best by doing. 4-H'ers complete hands-on projects from a variety of areas in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Youth can concentrate on one focus area or they can try a variety of programs throughout their 4‑H experience
