Summer Camp

Houston County 4-H offers overnight camps (see below), day camps, and camps for military families.

Every year 4-H offers away camps for 4th-12th graders. You might head to Rock Eagle, the largest 4-H center in the world, the north Georgia mountains, the beach, or Atlanta. Hope to see you there!

Learn more about our camps by reading our Frequently Asked Questions.

COVID-19 Updates (updated 5/28/2020)

Statement from Arch Smith, State 4-H Leader:  "After much thought and concern for the health and safety of 4-H staff, volunteers, and our 4-H participants, Georgia 4-H is cancelling all face to face programs, including summer camp, that remain on the June and July 4-H calendar. Additional information will be forthcoming regarding some events that will be moved to a virtual format and others that will be cancelled and not rescheduled."

All families who are currently registered for overnight summer camps will receive a full refund.  Our offices are currently closed so the refund process will take longer than normal.

We are able to host virtual programming and hope that you will join us for some of those fund and quick activities!  For updates, please return to this page and/or follow us on social media.

Refunds

Full refunds will be given to all 4-H'ers that were signed up for summer camp. Please check your email for information on our process. If you have any questions please email Sam Price, samprice@uga.edu.
