IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING FORSYTH COUNTY EXTENSION / 4-H COVID 19 PROCEDURE

As the community works together to halt the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID19), Forsyth County Extension is taking necessary precautions to keep our clients and employees safe.  Although we are not seeing clients in person at the office, the Forsyth County Extension staff are available by email at uge1117@uga.edu to provide horticulture, food safety, and other information.

We are coming up with new ways to engage with our customers and 4-Hers through social media and web-based programming.

How to take a soil sample

We have provided a drop box stationed near the front door for drop-off of basic soil and water samples. For soil testing, please bring 2 cups of dry soil in a zip-top bag. Instruction for sample identification and payment are on the top of the drop box. Please refer to:  information on how to take a proper soil / water sample. If you need water testing for Bacteria or a Home Closing Kit, or if you have any questions or concerns, please email uge1117@uga.edu so that we can assist you.

Ask one of our Master Gardeners to help you with your garden, lawn, or landscape questions.

Ask a Master Naturalist your questions concerning wildlife, habitats, ecosystems, natural resources, and natural environments.

Please fill out the information with as much detail as possible. The more information we have, the better we can diagnose the issue and answer your questions. Photos are very helpful.
