4th-12th Graders

The 4-H Horse Club is gearing up for another great year! Meetings for Horse Club will begin in August. There is an annual fee of $25 to be a member of the 4-H Horse Club. Each month the members will learn a new area of equine science. There are either 1 or 2 meetings a month held in both classroom style facilities or in Barn facilities. Horse Club members can participate in a variety of Horse related competitions including Horse Quiz Bowl, Horse Judging, Hippology, and even the State Horse Show! Owning a horse is not a requirement to be a member of the 4-H Horse Club.

Hippology and Horse Judging 

As part of the 4-H Horse Club, 4-H'ers can participate in Hippology and Horse Judging. In Horse Judging, 4-H'ers learn how to judge the conformation of horses and their athletic abilities. Hippology which is a merge of horse judging and also general information about horses. As members of the Horse Club, 4-H'ers can compete at one or both of these events which are held on the same weekend.

These competitive events are usually held in the Spring.
