2018 ANREP Conference - St. Marys, GA

Thank you to all who attended the 2018 Conference!

Welcome to the 2018 Georgia Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals Conference!

This year the conference will be held in the quaint coastal

community of St. Marys, Georgia.  St. Marys is the southern most point of Camden County and serves as the gateway to Cumberland Island National Seashore.

Please join us on a pre-conference tour of Cumberland Island to experience the pristine, unspoiled beauty of the Georgia coast on May 30th.  The cost of $50 per person includes a sack lunch, ferry ride to the island, park service entrance fees, and a guided tour of the island.  The Ferry departs from 113 St. Marys St. W, St. Marys, GA 31558 at 9:00 a.m. and returns at 5:30 p.m.  Wear comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for hiking and remember to pack sunscreen, bug spray, and water.  There are no stores or vendors on the island.

Downtown St. Marys has much to explore including a relaxing waterfront, several small museums, historic churches, historic Oak Grove Cemetery, fishing charters, kayaking adventures, and numerous local shopping and dining establishments.  A short drive will take you to other areas like Crooked River State Park, and the Sugar Mill Tabby Ruins. To learn more about the town and for more information please see the St. Marys Welcome Center link below.

Please review all the below links, in particular, the link for accommodations has additional information not included in the brochure.

We have partnered with Explore Georgia, an entity of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, and they have developed a 'Coastal Georgia Ecotourism Tour' highlighting many must see locations along the Georgia Coast. To view the site, click on the link below.  Hopefully you will be able to plan a couple of trips on your way to or from the conference.

We are excited to host this year’s conference in beautiful St. Marys!  If you have any questions, please contact our office at 912-576-3219.
