Marine Science Club

Marine Science Banner

The Marine Science Club explores the possibilities of a clean ocean and conservation of our marine and coastal environments, as well as learning about all kinds of sea creatures. This program is designed to teach 4-Hers about marine and coastal environments and animals   and what we can do to protect them.

We support the "Stow It Don't Throw It" campaign by monitoring fishing line recycling stations around Camden County in cooperation with Coastal DNR. We utilize discarded tennis ball containers to  create personal fishing line recycling bins and distribute these at local events and festivals. If you would    like to donate empty tennis ball containers (with lids) or assist with this project, please contact our office @ 912-576-3219.

*Please note, that due to COVID-19, in person programming has been suspended at this time.*
