4-H Programs in Camden County
Camden County 4-H serves youth in 5th -12th grades. Our program year coincides with the school year, and runs August 1 – July 31. Every year, members need to complete an enrollment form for that program year. There is no cost to enroll. We participate in local, district, and state events including Junior and Senior conferences held every spring and fall at Rock Eagle; Project Achievement for Cloverleafs (4th - 6th), Juniors (7th-8th), and Seniors (9th - 12th); State Council, Camps at the beautiful Georgia 4-H centers, and much more! We also have a multitude of summer activities each year available to all 4-H'ers.
*Please note that due to the current pandemic, all in person programs and meetings have new requirements. Tempuratures will be taken and an intake screening form must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian upon arrival. Masks are required at all times for indoor programs, and must be worn when not able to social distance outdoors.
Local School Year Programs:
5th graders in all 9 elementary schools participate in monthly in-school meetings, where we teach leadership, healthy living, and educational content that align with Georgia’s education standards.
Middle & High School Students
Middle school and high school students are encouraged to be a part of our County Council. This group meets monthly to fellowship and learn life skills, leadership, and healthy living concepts. We always have a game and good food planned!
5th – 12th Grades
We offer Specialty Clubs that meet monthly. These can change from year to year to adapt to our communities wants and needs. There may be a small fee charged to cover the expenses of the club. These clubs are usually volunteer led. If you are interested in volunteering, please see our Volunteer Page for more information.
We are always looking for ways to expand and adapt our program to meet our county’s specific needs. Please contact us if you would like to talk about offering additional 4-H programming.
