The UGA Horse Owner’s Webinar Series: Back to Basics is designed to help horse owners build a strong foundation in equine care and management. This educational series provides practical, up-to-date, research-based information to develop the knowledge and skills needed for responsible horse ownership.
Topics will include: introduction to horse ownership, basic behavior and welfare, nutrition and feeding, health management, economics of ownership, and emergency preparedness.
In contrast to prior years, 2026 will have one of two formats: two 45 minute presentations on the same night (1/8 and 1/29) or one 1.5 hour presentation (1/15 and 1/22) to accommodate depth of content and an abbreviated 4-week schedule.
