  • Jun 21 - Jun 23 Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program - Small Fruit & Vegetable Production The second part is Small Fruit & Vegetable Production that covers a multitude of subjects relating to crop production. Subjects covered include soil health, fertility, cover crops, irrigation, equipment, marketing and other pertinent topics. The class will include a visit to the Urban Farm at Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville. You must attend the Small Farm Business Planning Section in order to participate in this one.   • Jul 24 2018 Northwest Georgia Row Crop Scouting School This program offers basic information on crop insect/disease pests and scouting procedures. This program will serve as a review for experienced scouts and producers and as an introduction to cotton/soybean pest monitoring for new scouts. Includes Sponsored Lunch and Pesticide License CEU's: 2 hours for commercial category 21 and 1 hour for private licenses. Cartersville, GA
  • Aug 9 Home IPM Workshop This one day workshop is meant to teach principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in the home environment. The intended audience is owners and employees of pest management firms. An insect identification laboratory is part of the workshop. Continuing education credits available in GA, AL, SC, and TN. Five hours HPC credit (Category 29) available in GA. Griffin, GA
