GMGA Scholarship

Master Gardener Extension Volunteers (MGEVs) across the state know the value of good training and education. Several groups throughout Georgia even offer scholarships to Horticulture students. The Georgia Master Gardener Association (GMGA) wanted to ensure that a Georgia Master Gardener scholarship would carry on in perpetuity, so they provided the leadership to raise funds for an endowed scholarship. The endowment provides for a scholarship awarded annually to an undergraduate student studying Horticulture. To learn more about this scholarship, read the related article in the Spring 2014 Southscapes magazine and visit the GMGA website.

In 2013, the scholarship fund reached the level necessary for a scholarship to be awarded. Recipients of the Georgia Master Gardener Scholarship include:

  • 2014 - Mason Westmoreland
  • 2015 - Glenn Reece
