Sheri Dorn, Extension Horticulturist
and Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Program Coordinator
Sheri has a B.S. and M.S. in Horticulture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. She served as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent in Roanoke, Virginia; owned and managed a small retail nursery and landscape contracting firm, growing thousands of annuals and perennials on site; and served as Virginia Master Gardener Coordinator. As a gardener, Sheri is passionate about vegetable gardening and color in the garden! She enjoys raising vegetables and small fruits with her family. She loves to plant colorful container gardens with annual and perennial combinations, and enjoys visiting public gardens whenever possible.

Sarah has a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Georgia where she was heavily involved in the Honors Program and also as a Lab Assistant for multiple courses. During her time at UNG, she was fortunate to take an Entomology course, and is now the proud owner of a personal bug collection! She also had the amazing opportunity to travel to Sapelo Island, Georgia and Calabash Caye, Belize. After graduating with honors from UNG, Sarah joins the program with enthusiasm and is excited to see all that Master Gardeners will continue to accomplish. She is a sunflower and succulent enthusiast, and is determined to have her very own flower and vegetable gardens!
