Summer Camp
The 2024 4-H Summer Camp Season is here!
Camp Registration will open March 1st 2024.
Parents can register campers in person at the Walton County Extension office, 1258 Criswell Rd SE Monroe, or by using the embedded links on this page.
Applications are not valid until a $75.00 deposit (non refundable) is received.
Who: 5th and 6th graders
Where: Rock Eagle 4-H Center - Eatonton, Georgia
When: June 24th - June 28rd 2024
Cost: $385.00 Includes: transportation, lodging, meals, all activites, & camp t-Shirt.
Campers will take educational classes, participate in recreational activities, meet people from all over Georgia, and have the time of their lives!
Wilderness Challenge Camp - FULL
Who: 6th - 8th graders (6th graders must be 12 by June 17th, per white water rafting requirements)
Where: Wahsega 4-H Center - Dahlonega, GA
When: June 17th - June 21st 2024
Cost: 420.00 Includes lodging, meals, & all activities. Transporation details and Information TBD
Activities include zip line, climbing wall, white water rafting, survival tracking, navigation, fire building, outdoor survival skills, and entertainment.
Who: 7th and 8th graders
Where: Burton 4-H Center - Tybee Island, Georgia
When: June 3rd - 7th 2024
Cost: $420.00 Includes: Lodging, meals, all activities. Does not include transportation to and from Camp Fortson. Transportation cost and details to be determined.
Campers will participate in activities and classes with an emphasis on coastal and marine ecology. Recreational activities will include beach ecology, marsh trawl, shark dissection, and more.
Who: 9th - 12th graders
Where: Wahsega 4-H Center - Dahlonega, Georgia
When: July 1st - July 5th 2024
Cost: $420.00 Includes: Transportation to and from Rock Eagle 4-H Center, lodging, meals and all activities
Activities include tubing, game room, field day, and meal at the University of North Georgia.
Who: 9th - 12th graders
When: June 3rd - 5th OR June 10th - 14th 2024
Where: The Frank Fitch Pioneer Camp at Rock Eagle 4-H Center
Cost: $420.00 Includes: Transportation to and from Rock Eagle 4-H Center, lodging, meals, and all activities
Activities include shooting sports, star gazing, night hikes, fishing, and zip line.

Camp registration is now open, a $75.00 deposit is required to register. All balances must be paid before May 31, 2024. To register your child for camp, please follow the embedded links to our registration and payments site.
Partial 4-H Camp Scholarships are available, and are based on 4-H participation and financial need. If you would like to apply for a camp scholarship, please register your child following regular camp sign-up procedures. Camp Scholarship applications are available at the 4-H office. The amount of of the partial scholarships will depend on the number of scholarship applicants and the amount of donations recieved from the community.
