4-H Summer Camp

Georgia's 4-H summer camping program offers a 4-H summer camping experience unparalleled in the nation. Over 8,000 children ages 9-19, accompanied by over 1,000 adult and teen leaders, annually descend on each of Georgia's unique 4-H centers for a week of camp that will be reflected upon and cherished for years to come. Every camp offers great adventure, friendship and fun, and all seek to develop the camper's Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.

Cloverleaf Camp (4th - 6th graders)

Cloverleaf Camp will be held at Fortson 4-H Center the week of June 24-28, 2019. The cost of camp is $375. In addition to on-center activities, this includes the cost of a trip to White Water, Stone Mountain, and Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Transportation will be provided to all activities in and around Atlanta during the week of camp and is included in the camp cost.
Transportation to and from Fortson 4-H Center is also included.
All students* 4th-6th grade are eligible to attend.

*ALL Cloverleaf campers must be 9-years-old on or before their first day of camp.

Junior Camp (7th and 8th graders)

Junior Camp will be held at Camp Jekyll the week of June 10-14, 2019. The cost of camp is $450. This includes the cost of Summer Waves Water Park, boat tour, Georgia Sea Turtle Center, bicycles, and a souvenir t-shirt.
Transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Junior Camp and is included in the camp cost.
Transportation to and from Camp Jekyll is also included.
All students 7th-8th grade are eligible to attend.

Senior Camp (9th - 12th graders)

Senior Camp will be held at Rock Eagle 4-H Center the week of May 27-31, 2019. The cost of camp is $365. This includes the cost of field trip to UGA campus and on-campus dining hall, other social and service activities, and a special Memorial Day picnic with FIREWORKS!
Transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Senior Camp and is included in the camp cost.
Transportation to and from Rock Eagle 4-H Center is also included.
All students 9th-12th grade are eligible to attend.

Other Camps

Other camping opportunities in the Georgia 4-H summer camping program in 2019 include:

Marine Science Camp at Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island, July 8-12 or July 15-19, for students who have completed the sixth, seventh, or eighth grades. Cost is $420. Includes the cost of a paddle boarding/kayaking excursion, marsh trawl, shark dissection, swim shirt, and other on- and off-site educational experiences.
Transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Marine Resources Camp and is included in the camp cost.
Transportation to and from camp is also provided.

Wilderness Challenge Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center, July 1-5, for students who have completed the sixth, seventh or eighth grades (Wilderness Challenge campers must be 12-years-old on or before July 1, 2019). Cost is $380. Includes the cost of canopy zip lining and whitewater rafting trip.
Transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Wilderness Challenge Camp and is included in the camp cost.
Transportation to and from Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega is NOT provided.

Senior EXTREME Camp, a more primitive camping experience at Frank Fitch Pioneer Camp – Rock Eagle 4-H Center, June 10-14. High school students may attend Senior Camp or Senior EXTREME Camp, or both! Cost is $365. Includes on-center classes and social activities, the cost of a canoeing and fishing trip on the Ocmulgee River, shooting activities at Charlie Elliot Outdoor Center and ropes course at Georgia College and State University.
Transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Senior EXTREME Camp and is included in the camp cost.
Transportation to and from camp is also provided.
Note: An optional White Water Rafting trip will be available at the beginning of the week (Sunday-Monday) for an additional $75.

Georgia 4-H also partners with different organizations to help sponsor several unique camping opportunities for children and youth in military families. Staff at the Upson County Extension Office can offer assistance in exploring these opportunities.


Camp Registration

Camp registration begins on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Slots are available on a first come, first serve basis. A non-refundable $75 deposit is required to reserve your place. Parents/Guardians must come in to the Upson County Extension Office in person to register. Registrations will not be accepted by phone. Flexible payment plans are available and the remaining balance can be paid off by May 10th. Scholarships are also available.
