4-H Clubs

Cloverleaf 4-H

Cloverleaf 4-H'ers are 4th, 5th, 6th grade 4-H members that meet in their respective classrooms at school. Meetings focus on developing leadership skills through club officers and public speaking skills through oral demonstrations. An educational program is conducted each month. Junior 4-H

Junior 4-H'ers are 7th & 8th grade 4-H members. Meetings focus on community service, leadership development, and public speaking.

Junior 4-H Meetings are held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday's of the month from 3:00 - 3:45 PM in the 4-H room at the Pat Haralson Civic Center. To find more information, visit the Junior DPA Projects webpage.

Senior 4-H

Seniors 4-H'ers are 9th -12th grade 4-H members. Meetings are planned and conducted by club officers and the 4-H staff. Meetings focus on civic engagement , group activities and 4-H development. For more information, visit the Senior DPA Projects webpage.

Senior 4-H Meetings are held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday's of the month from 7:20-7:45 AM at the Union County High School Library .

Livestock Club

By participating in the 4-H Livestock program, youth develop decision-making abilities, communications skills and learn to be responsible while caring for their animal.

Union County has a Swine Team that competes in Hog Shows all over Georgia. Union County also holds an Annual Pig Jig every year. Visit the Georgia 4-Y Livestock Program webpage for more information.

S.A.F.E. Program

S.A.F.E. stands for Shooting and Firearm Education. The program introduces 4-H'ers to the sport of shooting; promotes shooting safety; develops discipline, poise, and self-control, and re-enforces the concept of teamwork and good sportsmanship.

B.B Gun Competition for 4th -8th grades 

Modified Trap (Shotgun) Competition for 7th - 12th grades

Archery Competition for 4th - 12th grades
