Summer Camps & Classes

Cloverleaf Camp

  • Location: Fortson 4-H Center
  • Grades 4-6th
  • In addition to on-center activities, fee includes the cost of a trip to White Water, Stone Mountain, and Atlanta Motor Speedway.
  • Cost: $320 ($75 non-refundable deposit due at registration) 

Junior Camp

  • Location: Camp Jekyll
  • Dates: June 19-23rd
  • Grades 7-8th 
  • Fee includes the cost of a boat tour around Jekyll Island, Jekyll Sea Turtle Center, bicycle rental, Summer Waves water park, and special Thursday evening event.
  • Cost: $375 ($75 non-refundable deposit due at registration)

Marine Resource Camp

  • Location: Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island
  • Dates: July 3-7th 
  • Youth that have completed 6-8th grade
  • Fee includes the cost of a marsh trawl, shark dissection, other on- and off-site educational experiences.
  • Cost: $345 ($75 non-refundable deposit due at registration) 

Wilderness Challenge Camp

  • Location: Wahsega 4-H Center
  • Dates: July 17-21st 
  • Youth that have completed 6-8th grade
  • Fee includes the cost of canopy zip lining, river swimming, and whitewater rafting trip
  • Cost: $385 ($75 non-refundable deposit due at registration) 

Senior Camp

  • Location: Rock Eagle 4-H Center
  • Dates: May 29-June 2nd
  • Grades 9-12 
  • Fee includes the cost of field trip to UGA campus and on-campus dining hall, other social and service activities, a special Memorial Day picnic, and fun night on Cloverleaf Circle.
  • Cost: $360 ($75 non-refundable deposit due at registration) 

Senior Extreme Camp (Frank Fritch Pioneer Camp)

  • Location: Rock Eagle
  • Dates:June 12-16th 
  • Grades 9-12
  • Transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Senior EXTREME Camp and is included in the camp cost. 
  • An optional white water rafting trip will be available at the beginning of the week (Sunday - Monday) for an additional cost
  • Cost: $350 ($75 non-refundable deposit due at registration) 





Trip to Washington Farms 

When: Thursday, June 1st from 8:45-5:00 pm

Cost: $12    Minimum: 7 Maximum: 8

Signup by: May 25th

It’s strawberry picking time!  For this Outdoor Adventure we’ll be going to Washington Farms in Watkinsville!!!  This tour will include an educational talk, a coloring book, a pint basket of strawberries that you’ll pick, and a visit to the petting farm where you can see and pet calves, goats, pigs, bunnies, and chickens!  We will be having a picnic on the farm so be sure to bring lunch!


Trips Around the World

When: Friday, June 9th  from 9:00-5:00 pm

Cost: $5    Minimum: 8  Maximum: 20

Signup by: June 2nd 

Come explore with us!!! This class will take you on adventures across the world. For example we will explore a volcano in Italy , see the destruction of a hurricane called Matthew, and hear the rumbling of an earthquake in Ecuador. We will talk about how you can help out when disasters occur, how to keep yourself safe during unexpected weather , and you will even get to make your own  instruments to test the weather and climate right from your home!! We know you will be starving after all your travels so don’t forget to pack your lunch!


Friday FUN DAY

When: Friday, July 21st  from 9:00-5:00 pm

Cost: $10

Signup by July 14th 

FINALLY, Greene County 4-H back to school bash!!! This is a day full of fun! There will be obstacle courses, water games, scavenger hunts, and so MUCH MORE!  Snacks and water will be provided but you must bring lunch! You must participate in 1 class prior to Fun day to be able come!  

Next Stop Mexico

When: Tuesday, June 27th from 9:00-5:00 pm

Cost: $10  Minimum: 6  Maximum: 12

Signup by: June 13th

Do you like cooking? I love cooking and with the help of Mrs. Shirley Selman we will learn how to make foods that are from the Mexican culture.  We will learn about their community’s and their holiday’s. We may even pick up a little bit of Spanish during this class. There will be a small craft and a guest speaker! Oh, you even get to make your own lunch during this class.

Georgia Grown

When: Thursday, July 6th from 9:00-5:00pm

Cost: $5  Minimum: 6  Maximum: 20

Signup by: June 29th 

Come learn all about Georgia’s Big Business's! There will be a performance about a   traveler looking for some food and villagers who wonder just how good stone soup really is? We will have a scavenger hunt to see how well you know your local grown products, and even a surprise visitor! This day will definitely be full of laughs and fun! We hope to see you there! Don’t forget to bring a yummy lunch so you want be hungry like our        travelers!
