4-H Camp Information

Forsyth County 4-H is offering some great summer camp opportunities! Space for all camps is limited, and there will be a sign up event to kick of the registration period. Bring your camp application and deposits to this event to secure a spot! Also check out the flyers/applications below for more information about all of the camping opportunities. Cloverleaf Camp is open to all 4th-6th graders in Forsyth County. All other camps (Junior, Marine Resources, Wilderness Challenge, Senior, and Senior Extreme) are only available to active 4-H'ers. For information about being deemed active contact the 4-H Staff.

4-H Camp Scholarships
With support of the United Way of Forsyth County, we are able to offer scholarships to those in need to help cover cost for all of our summer camp options. The Scholarship Application listed below should be completed and submitted with the camp application no later than February 23rd.

Cloverleaf Camp (4th-6th Graders)
Wahsega 4-H Center June 25th-29th

At this week long summer camp in Dahlonega, Georgia, campers participate in a wide variety of activities including three high ropes courses (zip line, climbing wall, and flying squirrel), archery, tubing, gold panning, stream & forest ecology, snakes class, wilderness survival, water games, and a friendly competition. At night, we have campfires, a talent show, and a hillbilly costume party! Sign up begins on January 30th. See the promotional video and the flyer below for more details!

Junior Camp (7th-8th Graders) 
Camp Fortson July 2nd-6th

Junior 4-H Camp at Camp Fortson offers a fun-filled summer program for active 4-H’ers in the 7th and 8th grade. Campers will participate in a wide variety of activities! The camp fee is $365.00, which includes on-center activities and classes. Included is a tour of the Georgia Aquarium, a trip to Stone Mountain and the World of Coke along with an afternoon at Stone Mountain Park, Thursday Night Thunder at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and a souvenir t-shirt! Transportation to and from Camp Fortson is not included in the camp fee. There will be a transportation option of $75 to camp; more information about transportation will be released later. Registration opens January 30th.

Marine Resources Camp (7th-8th Graders)
Burton 4-H Center July 16th-20th

Marine Resources Camp at Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island offers a fun-filled summer program for 7th-8th graders. Campers will participate in a wide variety of activities! The camp fee is $330.00, which includes: on-center activities, a marsh trawl, shark dissection, beach ecology walks, sea turtle program, fishing, Marine careers night, other fun classes, and a beach trip. Transportation to and from Camp Fortson is not included in the camp fee. There will be a transportation option of $75 to camp; more information about the camp bus transportation option will be released later. Registration opens January 30th

Wilderness Challenge Camp (7th-8th Graders)
Wahsega 4-H Center July 2nd-6th


Georgia 4-H Wilderness Challenge Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega offers a fun-filled summer program for 7th and 8th graders.  Camp offers great adventures, friendship, and fun!  Campers will participate in a wide variety of activities including a canopy zip lining trip, whitewater rafting trip, overnight camp out, wilderness classes, and night recreation.  The Camp fee is $370.00, which includes all transportation to non-campus activities during the week, food, lodging, and insurance.  Transportation to and from Rock Eagle 4-H Center is not included in the camp fee . However, transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Senior Camp and is included in the camp cost. Registration opens January 30th.

Senior Camp (9th-12th Graders)
Rock Eagle 4-H Center July 2nd-6th

Georgia 4-H Senior Camp offers a fun-filled summer program for 9th through 12th graders. Campers will participate in a wide variety of activities and classes such as: Street Dances and Pool Parties, Tribal Wars, leadership and team building classes, a trip to a trampoline park or kayaking, service projects, and a trip to UGA!  The camp fee is $360.  Transportation to and from Rock Eagle 4-H Center is not included in the camp fee . However, transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Senior Camp and is included in the camp cost. Registration opens January 30th.

Senior Extreme Camp (9th-12th Graders)
Rock Eagle 4-H Center June 11th-15th

Georgia 4-H Senior Extreme Camp offers a fun-filled summer program for 9th through 12th graders. Campers will participate in a wide variety of activities. The camp fee is $350.00, which includes on-center classes and social activities, the cost of a canoeing and fishing trip on the Ocmulgee River, shooting activities at Charlie Elliot Outdoor Center and ropes course at Georgia College and State University. Transportation to and from Rock Eagle 4-H Center is not included in the camp fee . However, transportation will be provided to all activities during the week of Senior Camp and is included in the camp cost. Registration opens January 30th.
