4-H Youth Development
Welcome to the website for Emanuel County 4-H. Everything you need to know about activities, current events, important dates, forms, and contact information can be found here. The mission of Georgia 4-H is to assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of society. This mission is accomplished through "hands on" learning experiences, focused on agricultural and environmental issues, agricultural awareness, leadership, communication skills, foods and nutrition, health, energy conservation, and citizenship.
Who can join 4-H and how can I join?
Any youth in the fifth through twelfth grade is eligible to join 4-H by returning an enrollment card to the Emanuel County Extension office. Emanuel County 4-H partners with the Emanuel County School system to provide in-school programming and leadership training to all students in fifth and sixth grades, however embership beyond sixth grade is optional and often associated with involvement.
