- Summer Activities: The 2018 Cobb County 4-H Summer Activities program is just around the corner! Registration begins Wednesday May 2nd at 8:00am at the Extension Office. Activities are available for 4th-12th grade students. Grades are based on the 2017-2018 school year. Activities include Chopped & Skating, White Water Rafting Overnight Trip, MLK Center/King of Pops/Belt Line, Pinterest Crafts & Pool, Flix & Fun, University of North Georgia College Tour & Stars and Strikes, and Picketts Mill Battlefield. Young Farmers Club
Are you interested in gardening, animals, and learning more about agriculture engineering in Cobb County? Join the Young Farmers Club sponsored by UGA Extension and Cobb County Farm Bureau! Meetings are open to 4th-12th grade students. Meetings are held on Wednesdays at Cobb County Farm Bureay Office located at 2850 Powder Springs Rd SW Marietta, GA 30064. Register your child for Young Farmers Club today! Check out the Young Farmers Club at the 4-H Open House on August 15th from 4pm-8pm at the Extension Office!

Horse and Pony Club
The Cobb County 4-H Horse and Pony Club is looking for new members! You do not have to own a horse or a pony to be a member of this club. Open to 4th-12th grade students. Meetings are held monthly from 6:30pm-8:00pm at Stout Park located at 5315 Brownsville Rd Powder Springs, GA 30127. Once you enter the gates, drive down the path until you see the Big Blue Barn! Home School Club
It's all about STEM and Dissections this Spring with the Cobb County 4-H Home School 4-H Club. Registration is now open and spaces are limited! Complete the brochure and mail your payment to the Extension Office. You can also pay via phone at 770-528-4070 with a credit or debit card to hold your child's place! The monthly meetings will begin February 26 and is open to 5th-12th grade students. Do you like cooking or would like to learn how to cook from scratch? Join our 4-H Cooking Club for the Fall 2017 semester. This club is open to 4th-12th grade students. Club meetings are once a month on a Tuesday from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The cost is $25 per semester. Complete the brochure and mail your payment to the Extension Office. You can also pay via phone at 770-528-4070 with a credit or debit card to hold your child's place! Spring 2018 dates include:

**COOKING CLUB IS FULL FOR THE YEAR. Please check back regularly in the news and events section above for upcoming healthy living day activities that will include a cooking component.***
The Cobb County 4-H Archery team will enter its second season during the 2017-2018 school year. 4th-12th grade students are eligible to compete with the archery team. The team members are also members of Kennesaw Archery Club (KAC). Archers will shoot compound or recurve bows depending on preference. Students may bring their own equipment or rent a equipment weekly from KAC for $5 per practice. Membership dues and additional KAC fees will be discussed at the interest meeting in the fall. The archery team will resume practices for the 2017-2018 school year in September/October. The team will compete at the State 4-H Indoor competition at the GA National Fair Grounds in January and the State 4-H Outdoor tournament at Rock Eagle 4-H Center in April.
Shotgun Team (NEW Team!)
This team is brand new and will begin in January of 2018. Open to 7th-12th grade youth. The team shoots trap and skeet and sporting clays. The interest meeting will be Thursday January 11th at 6:30pm at the Extension Office. The season ranges from February to May culminating with the state competition in Savannah the last weekend of May. Any youth that are interested in joining the team for the 2017-2018 school year, please contact 4-H Agent Brittani Kelley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
