Jan 30, 2018 Egg Candling Certification Class This class teaches proper egg candling procedures in line with Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) standards giving individuals the information necessary to obtain an egg candling certificate or license. Mr. Ben Pitts, Agriculture Compliance Specialist, Consumer Protection Field Forces with GDA will be teaching the class. Participants that successfully complete the class will receive an egg candling certificate from GDA. Anyone selling eggs to individuals or at a farmers market must hold an Egg Candling Certificate. Additionally, anyone aiming to sell eggs to a grocery store, bakery or restaurant must have their candling facilities licensed by the GDA's Consumer Protections Division.
