Risk Management Workshop for Cattle and Forage Producers

Cattle and forage producers in Northwest Georgia are invited to attend a workshop that will help them manage the price and production risks they all face. The University of Georgia and Fort Valley State University (FVSU) are collaborating to deliver a series of these programs around the state. This educational program will provide information on:
Livestock and Forage insurance products for producers
Cattle weaning and winter feeding strategies
Fall, winter and warm season forage considerations
In addition to this information, participants will use the FVSU Mobile Classroom to get hands-on training on using UGA livestock budgets and computer decision-aids.
