The Basics of Food Preservation

Learn the basics of food preservation such as canning and dehydration. The two hour workshop will include a lecture on food preservation principles, when to use a water bath canner or pressure canner and the difference between the two. How to can safely at home and what type of tools and equipment you will need. How to choose foods for preservation. This is a beginner level workshop.

Participation Details
Registration fee for the class is $15. This will include hand outs. If you wish to purchase a So Easy to Preserve book, that is an additional $18 and you can purchase it from the Glynn County Extension office at any time.
