Saturday @the Rock: Build a Backyard Pollinator Garden

May 20, 2017 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Butterflies, bees, and birds, oh my! Join biologist and master gardener, Lamara Martin, at this month's Saturday @the Rock program, as she shares tips and tricks on how to build a sustainable and successful backyard pollinator habitat. The morning will start with a discussion on local pollinators and their importance in the ecosystem. Knowing what specifics pollinators need, we can help the survival of those threatened or in decline. Not only are pollinator habitats beautiful to look at, they also help boost pollinator populations by providing a safe space to live, grow, and reproduce.
This session is $3 per person. Recommended age is 16+, but open to anyone with a love for butterflies, bees, and birds. Pre-registered guests will have their name entered into a raffle to win pollinator plants and prizes.
