Tree Identification

May 9, 2017 10:00 am - 11:30 am

According to the Georgia Forestry Commission, GA has 18 varieties of oak trees, 10 varieties of pines and 7 hickory – plus numerous other types. Trees mature into various heights, widths, shapes and have their very own palm print (leaf) that allows for proper ID. Do you know a water oak vs. a live oak, hickory, elm, etc. Join Mary Carol Sheffield, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent, Paulding County, as she presents the identification process of the most common trees in our area. Please RSVP by calling our office at 770.305.5412 X 7. Free class.
