Lawn Weed and Disease Identification (Part 2)
April 13, 2017 9:30 am - 11:30 am
For many years the industry has recognized April as National Lawn Care Month. The start of the spring season is the perfect time to harness excitement about the outdoors and remind residents about the benefits of a well-cared for lawn. Spring is the time of year when the sun is warm, the breeze is cool, and the hum of lawnmowers fills the air. American homeowners take a great deal of pride in their yards, spending about $6.4 billion a year on lawn care, according to the Professional Lawn Care Association of America; buying, seed, fertilizer, herbicide, lawnmowers, string trimmers, and other equipment in an effort to create the ideal lawn: a lush green grass that feels cool between the toes. We also know there are weeds and pests that can cause havoc and ruin the beauty of our lawns. Please join Dan Larrick, Master Gardener Extension Volunteer, as he offers tips for weed, disease and insect pest management (Part 2). RSVP by calling our office at 770.305.5412 X 7. Free classes.
