Irrigation for Your Garden
March 23, 2017 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Irrigation can be as simple as a hose attached to a sprinkler to more complex underground pipelines, multiple zones and automatic controls. Georgia averages about 50 inches of rainfall per year. Of course it doesn't fall in sufficient quantities and at times its feast, too much rain, or famine, drought conditions. That's where irrigation comes into the picture. Are you familiar with drip (or trickle) irrigation? It is increasing in popularity and is especially suitable for our home gardens. Please join Don Adkins, Master Gardener Extension Volunteer, as he talks about drip irrigation, which is a water saving method for a more economical home solution. There will also be tips and practical rules for determining irrigation placement. Please RSVP by calling our office at 770.305.5412 X 7. Free class.
